Some musings on painting.

Long long ago(around 8 yrs back) I tried some paintings on one of my old half saree. Here are some of their pictures.

The half saree has become old, but still it is there with my mom for the work I had done.

Kamal Stitch on saree

Hi Friends,
I have embroidered this saree with kamal kadai stitch,  stem stitch and herringbone stitch.
This is the pallu part yet to be completed.

Lazy Daisy flowers

Hi friends,
  This saree was my first project, around 8 years back. this is a simple motif stitched with lazy daisy and stem stitch. I used two strands of anchor cotton thread for the stems. And grey woollen thread for the flowers. The middle of the flower is made of a golden chumki stitched in yellow thread. This was my college uniform saree.

The saree has altogether 18 motifs.
